Coriole has a commitment to sustainability on many levels.
Our solar energy solution reduces our energy costs and contributes to a sustainable future for our business and our wines.
We have a 98.6kW solar solution on our production shed, which was designed and installed by ZEN Energy.
The solution includes a total of 335 solar panels, generating up to 400 kilowatt hours of energy in any one day. Our solar panels are orientated on a northerly aspect of Coriole's barrel and warehouse sheds, designed to deliver energy throughout the day and help offset energy-intensive operations across the site.
According to carbonneutral.com.au, our annual carbon offset of around 85,000 kgs of CO2e from our solar installation is equivalent to planting around 850 trees every year.

For many years we have been working to regenerate native vegetation areas on the property. Water in the property is recycled, rain and bore.
We are increasingly interested in bio-management of the soil producing our own compost and green manures.
Our organic vegetable garden grows produce for Coriole Restaurant's seasonal menu.
We also take a keen interest in broader sustainability issues such as the state of our unique region and the impact of urban sprawl, infrastructure for the expanding population and town planning in and around McLaren Vale and neighbouring townships.
